Hi everybody,
This is the first time I heard of the ABCD method in writing objective. I already know the characteristics of objectives. They have to be: specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, describe a behaviour within or under certain circumstances. However, I went through the reading assignment the "ABCD method", It was clear and understandable. I learned a lot about writing effective objectives. I have never though of including C which stands for "Condition" and D which stands for "Degree" in writing my objectives but after taking this topic I will do it for sure The examples provided with the topic were very useful and understandable. I am planning of conducting a workshop about the"ABCD method" for my teacher because they are having problems in writing the aims or objectives for their lessons.
Hi Zainab
ReplyDeleteIt shows your intelligence as well as interests in teaching skills that you have mentioned the salient features of a good objective. The newly introduced ABCD model is also great. It doesn't leave any room for mistakes. One can feel assured for a successful class if he/she has written his/her ABCD objectives correctly.I will surely add these in my next lesson plans. What do you think?

Yes, we both think the same way. In the reading and writing the objective. I do learn a lot. As a teacher, I teach but I don't give much attention to some aspects, such as what Robert caustioned us to think, students' background, classroom setting.... So, after the whole process, I do think a lot, for the first time, about my teaching setting, even my students' mindset. I think it is interesting.
